Story Time

Ages 2 ½ -3

(And 4 year olds that aren’t quite ready for Children’s church)

We meet during Wednesday night service.

We meet in the toddler classroom at approximately 7:30pm.

(As soon as Pastor dismisses the youth)

 What do we do?

We read or tell 1-3 stories each time we meet.  We also include music, videos, snack, crafts, puppets, and play acting various nights.

 What do we hope to accomplish?

It is our prayer that each child will learn some of the basic truths of the bible in a way that fits their understanding and fosters their love of JESUS.  During this short time with your child we hope to provide them with reinforcement of the reading readiness skills you work on with them at home.  Our hope is that they will learn to LOVE coming to church, and will enjoy the experience, while allowing mom and dad to also learn instead of trying to entertain a lively young child.  

 Why do we do this?

Story time was started to give children someplace to go when they were too old for nursery and too young for Children’s Church. We CONTINUE to do what we do because we feel that CHILDREN are important both to US and to GOD.  They are our future.

 Proverbs 22:6  Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Matthew 19:14  But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

Luke 18:16  But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
