Praise the Lord!!!!!
Summer finally came. We are actually having a summer in
Wisconsin. Hot and humid, uncomfortable at times,
waiting for the right time to spend outdoors. We have
had storms, lots of wind , rainy days, dry days and days
when we just don’t know what to expect. Sounds like our
life. Never sure of what kind of day we are going to
have, but we must make the best of each day no matter
what. We do know for sure that God is always in the
forecast.
Well, I can tell you that it is hot at Calvary Apostolic
Church. We are all on fire for the Lord. We have
ministries and the saints of God working toward winning
souls in Clintonville, Wis. and surrounding areas. It is
an outreach extravaganza.
First, we have the Welcome Wagon Ministry. Created to
welcome newcomers in Clintonville and surrounding areas.
They are presented a gift bag full of goodies that would
be useful in their move. It also contains much
information about our church. This is done door-to-door,
giving us the opportunity to allow a personal touch. We
hope and pray that this kind gesture would touch someone
enough to stir a hunger in their heart for the Lord.
Next we have Extreme Prayer. Extreme Prayer is a group
effort to pray for everyone and anyone who needs prayer.
During this time, we have personal prayer, karaoke
scriptures which allows saints to read scriptures which
have helped him or her on their journey. We have
testimonies to
God’s wonderful and amazing work in our lives, which is
very encouraging to everyone. There is a foot washing to
humble us. We sing, dance and praise and worship our
Lord all night long until the early morning. Extreme
Prayer strengthens us and helps us to be more sensitive
to the Holy Ghost, so that we may continue to do God’s
will in our life. At times, we are blessed with a
wonderful message from God. At the end of every session,
we walk 7 times around the church quietly like Joshua at
Jericho, and at the end we all shout and begin to give
thanks praise and honor to Jesus Christ of Nazareth. We
then wait. As it says in Isiah 40:31 But they that wait
upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall
mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not
be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Lastly, we have started a door-to-door ministry, placing
door hangers on door knobs. These door hangers are left
on the doors of designated areas. It says that we will
be praying for them .It also has info about how to
contact our church or even visit our church. They would
be able to ask for prayer by calling or sending an
e-mail. There has been good response and people have
been receiving us well. Marion, Wis. has just been
completed and we continue to pray for that city.
Clintonville, Wis. Is our next target. We have already
begun to pray that everyone would respond with an open
heart. You too can pray for this town wherever you may
be.
There is a great need for salvation in our world today.
A need of God in everyone’s life. We need to be unified
in prayer and fasting to bring the word of the Lord to
all lost souls near and far.
In Mark16:15-16, Jesus said unto His disciples. Go ye
into all the world, and preach the gospel to
every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall
be saved: but he that believeth not shall be damned..
We all have a responsibility to plant a seed and believe
in Jesus to help it grow. We should continually praise
God for all He does and all He is about to do.
People get ready------Jesus is coming!!!!!
PEACE BE WITH YOU........................LINDA
