MUSIC MINISTRY

Colossians 3:16

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

MISSION STATEMENT
3 Keys To A Great Music Department

1. Creates a spiritual atmosphere in the service. Praise and worship ushers in the presence of the Lord.

2 Chronicles 5:12-14 (paraphrased)
The Levites which were singers, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps and with them 120 priests sounding trumpets. As the trumpeters and singers were as one, lifting their voice to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord, “For He is good, for His mercy endureth forever.” Then…the house was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not stand to minister for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.

2. Assists in the spiritual battle.

2 Chronicles 20:21-22
“And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that they should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the Lord, for His mercy endureth forever. And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.

3. Helps to develop people’s talents and ministries.

Everyone must find a place of involvement in the church and the music department provides a great opportunity.
We like to develop the talents of the youth, because they are not only the church of TODAY, but the leaders of TOMORROW.
Our main goal is not to entertain, but to worship and praise God in song; to minister a message to you in a melody. Anointed music is powerful!!! God can use it to touch a heart and bring about revival.
